Historiani explores Albanian history through archival documents, photographs and historical analysis. We bring readers closer to the sources behind historical events and the people who shaped them.
What you will find
Our publications include documents from public and personal archives, contextual articles, photographic collections and historical video material. The English edition presents selected stories from our Albanian publication.
Reading history through sources
A document records a particular perspective. We distinguish what a source says from editorial interpretation, and identify uncertainty when evidence is incomplete. Translations aim to preserve the meaning of the original; quotations and historical terminology require context.
