Privacy Policy

Updated 1 November 2026.

This policy explains the use of data when you visit Historiani or contact the editors. For privacy questions or requests, contact Historiani at info@historiani.com.

Technical data

The hosting service and WordPress may process technical request data, including IP address, time, requested page and browser type, to operate and secure the site. These records are distinct from visitor statistics.

Visitor statistics

We use WP Statistics to understand how content is used. In the reviewed configuration, IP anonymization and hashing are enabled; storage of the full user-agent string and tracking of logged-in users are disabled. Statistics are stored in the WordPress database. These measures do not mean that all technical hosting records are anonymous.

Cookies and account access

WordPress uses technical cookies for account access and administration. Functional preferences, such as language, may also be used. Your browser lets you control or delete cookies; blocking essential cookies may prevent some features from working.

Videos and external links

Some articles include YouTube videos or links to other services. Loading an embedded video may transmit technical data to its provider and involve cookies according to its settings and your choices. External websites have their own privacy policies.

Correspondence

When you email us, we process your email address and the material you send to review your enquiry, correction or contribution. Do not include unnecessary private information. Sending a document does not automatically authorize its publication.

Advertising and additional services

Enabling advertising networks, external analytics, chat or newsletters requires this policy and privacy choices to be updated for the relevant configuration. This text does not assert that Google AdSense or Google Analytics is active.

Retention and requests

Data is retained according to its purpose, technical configuration and applicable obligations. To ask about data relating to you, or request correction or deletion, email info@historiani.com. Proportionate verification of a request may be needed; please do not send unsolicited identity documents. Some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.

Comments

Where comments are enabled, WordPress processes the comment and form details, such as name and email, together with technical data for administration and abuse prevention. Your name and approved comment may appear publicly. Please do not include private information that you do not want published.
